Jodi McFarlane
I completed my Diploma of Early Childhood Education in 1995 and have enjoyed working in many different child care environments available to children in NZ, including centre based and home-based. Being a current home-based educator, I can relate to the challenges and rewards that other educators are faced with.

I wholeheartedly believe that home-based care can provide these opportunities, and so, EDEN Home-Based Childcare was developed.

I have always known that I wanted to work with children and pursued a career in teaching at a young age. Initially as a primary school teacher which I loved!

However, when I had my own boys I became more and more interested in early childhood education so decided to study this fascinating field. I have found my niche in this field and after 9 years in ECE I look forward to supporting educators and families in home-based childcare.

I work behind the scenes to support Jodi and the team. I’m also the one who looks after the invoicing and payments on behalf of the Educators.
I’ve been with Jodi for about twenty years which has been full of adventure. We’ve owned a few businesses, lived in Taupo, Queenstown and Auckland, travelled, and been on many, many family adventures.
